Description:

In RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems), chemicals are often necessary for water quality control and fish handling. However, these chemicals can also be hazardous. To ensure safe handling, some basic principles must be followed when working with chemicals. Sufficient knowledge and conscientious use are important for a safe working environment. Even the smallest amount of hazardous substances can, if mishandled, lead to reactions with dramatic consequences for people and the environment. In this one-day seminar, the presenter will provide an introduction to fundamental topics such as the classification and labeling of chemicals, as well as their practical use in everyday work.

Target group: 
This course is suitable for participants who work with RAS production, or who are going to join companies with RAS technology. The course is suitable for both technical and biological personnel.
