This course provides an introduction to salmon production in hatcheries (smolt facilities).

Topics covered include:

  • Salmon biology and life cycle

  • Smoltification

  • Salmon production processes

  • Water quality

  • Fish diseases, parasites, and production disorders

  • Biosecurity

 

Target Group:

Employees working in hatcheries or other parts of the aquaculture production chain who want to learn more about salmon.

Duration: 1 day, approx. 6 hours
